AN ENTRY INTO THE WORLD OF TEACHING FOR THE FIRST TIME

INTO THE WORLD OF INNOCENCE -- AT THE

SAME TIME" CHILDREN ARE MONSTERS"

"CHILDRENS ARE SMALL MONSTERS" I had heard this for the first time when I was doing my UG Course said by one of my favourite English sir of all time Mr.Mohan . He might have said that because we were like the same then...haha...The same sentence is once again remembered now  as because myself is doing my B Ed course as a part of it doing my teaching practice in St. Goretti, Punalur.

The student teaching experience allows you to put everything that you’ve learned about education and your subject matter into action. This opportunity, made me learn a lot from the experience.

Myself with 6 other Teacher trainees started our teaching practice from 16 th June. Day by day we used to share our classroom experiences in our staffroom, there we come across the advanced mentality of children on one side and the lost generation. these kids all makes  our situation hypothetical. To the most we find difficult to handle the generation smarter than we are and the teaching the lost generation. Then I realized how deeply we need to evaluate our teaching and our students’ learning. My whole year spent in the classroom with my teenage learners swept past my eyes, and I realized they are not lost. We, the adults, are lost—lost in centuries old traditions, lost in the way we were taught and our expectation that our students learn the same way, and lost in obsolete rules we have imposed on them.

Actually the current state is 'CONUNDRUM' still as teachers we have to improve classroom management of the high school students. Yes! the teens they, knowing us the trainees behave in such a manner which is embarrassing but the saddest of all is that there are lot more with poor family background and incredible family problems which make the children rebellious. Thus, the connection between family breakdown and the child's educational outcome is becoming ominously clear.

Anyhow, we're here till August, hoping we could do our best and discovering out many first hand knowledge and change at least one kid. Wishing to bring back that lost innocence at least to children because it is the only thing that I couldn't able to see now in this lost generation and this has to be preserved.
