LAST DAY OF TEACHING PRACTICE

LAST DAY OF OUR TEACHING PRACTICE (16-01-2018)

It was my last day of teaching. I gave them chocolates and we the 8 teaching trainees gave ladoo to the teaching and non- teaching staffs of the school as a part of our leaving. The students were so sad, most of them loved me such I loved them .My class the VIII J  is the best class in active learning, they are so brave, spirit and smart in English. In the last of class, the students asked me to have some pictures together, and they asked me to give them my mobile number to communicate each other. Then they sent me the sweet message. They respected me as their real teacher. Sometimes I felt so sad when I remembered that I just be their pre-service teacher and I have no much time for being with them.

A kind of  bond was created with students and myself even in the short time during this experience. It was very difficult to say goodbye to these students on the last day of student teaching. And I have focused on the positive while interacting with students, such as praising students for what they have achieved. I have also thank ed students for making my student teaching experience an enjoyable one. As a Student teacher I have also took this opportunity to set a good example for students on handling change by maintaining a positive and hopeful attitude.

On behalf of our leaving we gave farewell to the teachers whom we have interacted with, as well as other staff members and the school principal. These goodbyes were simple, heartfelt ones. Students have given me fine feedback without any negatives, this is really enough for me as a teacher, it is just like I have attained the B Ed degree certificate. They gave given me a small gift with immense love and affection, few have showered tears too. All these mean to me a lot, Am unable to express my emotions through words as because I really miss my school and students.

Although leaving was an emotional time, it is also a time to focus on the future.  Thinking back on everything that have experienced during this time, from the tips I received from teachers, conversations I had with students, and use the insight I have gained from teaching my own class.
We trainees took our last selfie too.

CONSCIENTIZATION programme on suicide tendencies among adolescents

CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME ON

" SUICIDE  TENDENCIES AMONG ADOLESCENTS" .

The process of developing a critical awareness of one’s social reality through reflection and action.  Action is fundamental because it is the process of changing the reality.  Paulo Freire says that we all acquire social myths which have a dominant tendency, and so learning is a critical process which depends upon uncovering real problems and actual needs.
As part of the B. Ed curriculum and practice, we trainees have to conduct a conscientization programme during our training session. I had  select a socially relevant topic "suicide tendencies among adolescents

Exhibition of posters charts and placards were done. I have also shown them a short- film based the same. They have eagerly watched and at the end they gave us feedback about the whole presentation.

Moreover, with the cooperation of students, teaching staffs of the school, i was motivated to do the conscientization programme. Also, the support provided from the school made the overall programme a successful one.

TENTH WEEKLY REFLECTION PHASE 2

TENTH WEEKLY REFLECTION
PHASE II ( 8-1-18 TO 12-1-18)

On 8-1-2018 Monday Mary madam came for observation, mine was during 6th period and I had good comments over my class. By this week I had completed all my 30 lesson plans, conducted my research tool and conscientization programme and my achievement test. Even I took an Ict based class for my students. Again on Thursday 11-1-18 our new optional teacher Susan mam came for observation, mine was during 2nd period. This friday was the last teaching practise day for Mount Tabor Students, They served us ladoo, and the school has given us  farewell at auditorium. Farewell speeches were done, by senior teachers of the school and we also shared our memorable experiences.

Internship experience for me is always a period of unforgettable memories. Internships let me accumulate work experience, cultivate personal relationships, broaden horizons, enrich knowledge, and lay a solid foundation for future development. We were given a warm and special farewell party  and invited and  teachers and staffs to thank all the we teacher students for our hard work over the past 6 months( 1st and 2nd phase).
CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
An ICT based class was shown to my students from chapter "My Grandmother's House" by Kamala Surayya.

 CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME

My conscientization programme was based on "Suicide attempts among Adolescents". The tragedy of a young person dying because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration is devastating to family, friends, and community. Parents, siblings, classmates, coaches, and neighbors might be left wondering if they could have done something to prevent that young person from turning to suicide.

Learning more about what might lead a teen to suicide may help prevent further tragedies. Even though it's not always preventable, it's always a good idea to be informed and take action to help a troubled teenager. That's the reason why I took this as my conscientization topic.

SELF REFLECTION

I am happy this week, all because I had very fine weekend, 2 observations were there, my students really cooperated very well during both the observation periods,I was nervous for our new teacher still I am okay with what I had done. Other than that, I am happy that I have developed a good teacher pupil bond and understanding, building up of good relationship with students, successful in establishing fine learning environment. And I believe:,

⇨No teacher is perfect and everyone has room for improvement, but if you fail to see where you can improve then you never will.

Our school reopened on January first and we celebrated New Year today, students and and co - trainees came and wished New year Greetings to me.  After a festive 10 days holidays many were hesitant to come school and thus many childrens and teachers were absent on that very first day of the year and school. We got many substitutions, we allotted it to the 11 juniors and we accompanied them to the substitution class too.
